One of my current side hustle projects is to make a coloring book of floral art. I’m not talking about the intricate mandala-style books, where one missed paisley is a stress-induced scramble to cover it up. I want nice big patches of petals, or rosy cheeks for someone to puddle watercolors on top of. Here’s a rough draft of a page of mine:
In researching coloring books for adults, though, I did manage to find some that I’d actually sit down and tinker with:
Cacti, succuli, and twilight gardens!
Succulents Portable Adult Coloring Book (31 stress-relieving designs) (Studio)
Twilight Garden Coloring Book: Published in Sweden as “Blomstermandala” (Gsp- Trade)
Celebrities and silly!
Colour Me Good Tom Hiddleston – Full disclosure…my writing group, The Split Nibs, totally bought this and colored it. We…might have a thing for Tommy Boy.
And…of COURSE there’s a Ryan Gosling version…

Shoot. We live in Missouri*. We don’t need a coloring book to see this scene every day. But in case you are in a more cosmopolitan scene and lack the visual diversity that is a WalMart on a Saturday night, there is this:
People of Walmart.com Adult Coloring Book: Rolling Back Dignity
Speaking of cosmopolitan…
PARIS!
Iconic Paris Coloring Book: 24 Sights to Send and Frame (Iconic Coloring Books)
More Paris!
Secret Paris: Color Your Way to Calm

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge Royal Fashions Coloring Book (Dover Fashion Coloring Book)
And don’t forget Meghan and Harry!

Don’t forget your magic wands to create colorful pages!
{*I am very proud of living in Missouri, and fight with all my heart and soul to make it the most amazing place in the world. Having said that, we *do* have quite a few Walmarts in our midst…}
Do you color? Yay or nay? Does it really help with de-stressing? We’d love to hear!
