Wine to Go Go

One summer evening, I joined a friend for an outdoor Shakespeare on the Park. It was a beautiful night, they were performing A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and the lawn was packed. My friend had already set up chairs and blankets and as I arrived, she handed me an insulated tumbler.

Ah, thanks, I’m so thirsty! After a big gulp and a little cough, I realized the giant tumbler she gave me was filled with cold white wine. She’s a good friend.

Last summer, I had a booth at a weekend-long arts festival. It was hot. I was tired and thirsty. The same friend came by with another giant insulated tumbler. Ahhh, thanks friend! I took a big gulp, and a bigger cough. Cucumber gin on ice.

A few weekends ago, she picked me up for a road trip and handed me a little wine tumbler. I knew better this time. I took an indulgent sip and smiled. Ahhh, rosé wine.

She has the BEST tumblers for hiding boozy drinks in public places.

Inspired by her genius, I tipsily purchased one. I’m so happy! Here are a few worth looking at:

This is the one I purchased. So shiny. So pretty. Not inconspicuous.

Is it admitting I have a problem if I say I also have this 25-oz Corkcicle Canteen, which holds an entire bottle of wine? (Or 1/3 of a box?). Perfect for bringing to the pool. And sharing. Yeah. Sharing.

I mean…I guess if you want to shout it to the world
