We tend to lean toward the “more is more and less is a bore” mentality (Thanks, Iris!). At a recent art museum gala, here’s an outfit that fit the theme and became unexpectedly versatile:

A Rainbow Sequin Bomber Jacket paired with black pants and a back t-shirt. So easy! So simple! So fancy that people stopped me all night asking about it. I loaned it to a friend who wore it to The Emmy’s and she looked SO COOL. After, she donned it in a play called “Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind.” A fitting jacket for a fitting title. For $36, this is probably the best find on Amazon.

I loved the way Sarah (above) paired it with a black-and-white striped shirt, that I ended up GIVING HER THE JACKET and then buying another one for me, just in time to get sparkly for the Spooky Symphony.

I don’t remember where I purchased my Beetlejuice-inspired striped shirt, but here are some similar blouses on Amazon. To complete the outfit, of course you should consider some eye-blindingly bright (but sensible) shoes

What are some of your go-to party clothes trends? And are you able to transfer them to daily wear after? Because that’s a win-win in our book! Pair the sequin bomber with jeans and you’re still the star of the show!
