Chrissy, This One’s For You!

Has anyone else been enjoying the nostalgia lately of all things 80’s and 90’s? From TV shows such as Stranger Things to fashion of vintage rock tees at boutiques, the highlighter colors and scrunchies of the past are making childhood seem so much cooler as an adult. The bonus is that it gives a conversation starter to the pre-teen children of ours and they ask how did we ever survive the 80’s without cellphones.

So let’s take a trip down nostalgia lane and find some modern day inspiration!

Rock Tees

In our household, we are a HUGE fan of Stranger Things. From Nancy’s opal necklace in season 2 to the sweet kicks they all wear to Eddie’s music choice, it’s fun to bring the set to your day to day wardrobe.

You can’t say Eddie Munson without thinking of Metallica’s Master of Puppets. Join the fan club with this tee.

Hair Tinsel

Gem and the Holograms anyone? Well welcome to the modern day of hair tinsel! It’s fun for all ages and who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle? Because we sure do.

There are so many fun colors to choose from for the hair tinsel, but who can resist a good holographic silver?

Tennis Bracelets

Some of my favorite pieces of jewelry now are giant silver cubic zirconia costume jewelry. From large rings to tennis necklaces and bracelets, who doesn’t love some silver bling, especially if you are using the hair tinsel to match. In all serious though, everyone is wearing gold. Be bold and bring silver back to your wardrobe, I promise you will get compliments.

From rainbow gems to gold or silver, stock up and layer some tennis bracelets.

Sneakers

From Goonies, to Stranger Things to Griswold Family Vacation, the iconic 80’s sneakers are always a hit. Good luck finding the Nike Stranger Thing edition shoes, or the Nike’s that Data wears in Goonies, but you can get several updated versions of the classic shoe.
