Ombre-Inspired Cocktail

Bottle Brush Cocktail

Remember earlier when we wrote about some of our friend’s favorite things and one of the was “Bottle Brush Trees”? Well, don’t mind me as they’ve become one of my favorite things now as well! Here’s the photo of Ricci’s stunning display:

Those ombre trees are just too wonderful. While you shop and / or decorate your own tableau, consider creating a custom cocktail to sip merrily. More below!

Cody Foster 16″-20″ Pastel Color Ombre Bottle Brush Christmas Village Trees Set of 9 trees are so pretty we could eat them…

I found a few at Target and Hobby Lobby, and while cute, they don’t have the same ombre look at Ricci’s collection. But that’s okay, because I made an ombre cocktail!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka (Stephanie is an Absolut gal, I love Belvedere for a splurge)
  • 1/2 lemon, squeezed
  • 1 oz Triple Sec
  • splash of Pom juice
  • sugar for rim
  • Martini glass, FROZEN

In a cocktail shaker (or in a mason jar with a lid, if you don’t have one like I do!), shake the vodka, lemon juice, and Triple Sec with ice.

Take glass out of freezer, and rub the rim of it with the leftover lemon. Dip into a plate filled with granulated sugar for a sweet snowy look.

Strain martini and pour into martini glass. Add a tiny splash of Pom juice and say cheers to your new ‘treedition.’
